| The
EBBOA College Scholarship Program
Overview:
The
EBBOA firmly believes that high school athletics is a vital extension
of the academic experience. In support of that belief, the
EBBOA sponsors an annual College Scholarship Program to reward student-athletes
who succeed in the classroom while balancing a commitment to a basketball
team.
Presently,
the EBBOA College Scholarship Program is funded exclusively through
donations from members of the EBBOA. Officials
choose to donate game fees from one, two or three games that they
work throughout each season. If you are an EBBOA official
and would like to donate to the scholarship program, please click
on the EBBOA
Scholarship Donation link. One-hundred percent of the
funds are distributed in the form of scholarships to qualified applicants.
The EBBOA covers all of the administrative expenses associated with
running the program.
Individuals
or corporations interested in donating to the program are welcome
and encouraged to do so. If you are interested in becoming
a donor, please contact Brian Hudes, Director of the EBBOA College
Scholarship Program, at bhudes@ebboa.org.
Scholarships
are awarded on an annual basis. The EBBOA College Scholarship Program
Selection Committee determines the amount of scholarships awarded
each year based on the number of qualified applications received
and the amount of funds donated.
